Description: This beautiful, vintage hand-made steam locomotive was built by my great grandfather, circa 1950, from lbscs engineering plans from the 1935 in english mechanics magazine.
Lms model 6p5f number 42947 type 2.6.0 .
Stanier lms taper boiler design, some with safety valves mounted on top feed.
Valve gear p.e. Walschaerts.
lbsc was the pen-name of one of model engineerings most prolific writers. Lillian curly lawrence was born in 1882 and by the time he died in 1967, had designed over 100 locomotives.
